POV Female

 

POV Female is an international photography project started by London-based graphic designer and art director, Damien Poulain. First taking place in 2011, each year the POV (point of view) Female project promotes and publishes the work of five female photographers from one major city in the world. For 2013 the focus is on Johannesburg.

 

Each selected photographer has her previously unpublished, self-initiated projects published in a 36-page monograph printed on recycled paper, producing a five-book set for each city. These are published through Poulain’s independent publishing house Oodee. The books are limited to 100 copies each.

 

In 2014 the project goes to Buenos Aires and in 2015 to New York.
